must of hau mud dirt ect in barrel.seen same thing happen 1st hand

Lucky hunter..lucky to be alive after that.. must of had dirt ,mud,moss in his barrel. Keep your barrel away from the ground

The corect answer is cleaning patch left in the barrel. Only ruptured when the barrel diameter thinned to the point it could no longer contain the overpressure caused by the patch weged between the conical projectile and the barrel.

Next time keep the barrel out of the mud. This could be real as barrels can blow apart if the end has an obstuction

this can happen with fluted barrels if its been milled too deep.

Fake! when a barrel explodes it happens where the cartridge is, the chamber.The hot gasses wil hurt you like ll.The muzle crown can rupture a bit , or even crack.But it will never turn into a trumpet.
